Busy B’s Headed to 4-H Fair and Fall Festival

By: Forgottonia Times™ Report

The Bushnell Busy B's 4-H Club met Sunday, June 8, 2025, in Bushnell. Jackson Van Dyke showed and explained one of the 4-H projects that he is taking to the 4-H County Fair next month. Jake Van Dyke gave a parent talk about corn and soybean seeds in farming. Leader Gayla English provided the refreshments.

Be sure to join us at the 4-H County fair July 12-16 at the 4-H Grounds on West Jackson Street on the edge of Macomb. When the time gets closer, check for Illinois Extension announcements or the McDonough County 4-H Facebook Page for a schedule of events. We would love to see you attend and show your support for all involved!

Then please support our lemonade shake-up stand Wednesday-Friday, August 20-22, from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. as part of the Bushnell Fall Festival. Friday, August 8, will be McDonough County 4-H Day at the State Fair. Of course, every day at the State Fair is full of activities, but you will see more people from home on McDonough County Day.

Our next regular 4-H Meeting is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, September 14, at 3 p.m. to kick off a new 4-H year. This will be a great time to join if you are interested in 4-H. Look for an announcement on the Bushnell Busy B's 4-H Facebook page.
